Meet Tiffany: mother of seven, grandmother of three, native of Texas, and the first Einride Pod Operator.
With nearly a decade of experience on the road, driving as a team with her husband, she spends over five days a week in her truck, keeping her away from home and from her family.
Einride’s remote operation and oversight technology allows Pod Operators to monitor and control autonomous and electric vehicles from anywhere, creating a totally new career path in the shipping and logistics industry alongside trucking.
“It’s hard to convince people that have been in the industry a long time that this is what should happen. People are nervous that they’re going to lose their job or give up their career, but they’re still gonna need their experience to drive these autonomous vehicles,” said Tiffany.
