Inceptio Technology, a Chinese autonomous driving startup, said on Thursday that its fleet of trucks have accumulated trips over 6 million kilometers.

The company was established in Shanghai in 2018, dedicated to Level 3 and Level 4 technologies for trucks.

Its Level 3 autonomous system, called Xuanyuan, was unveiled in March 2021.

Two models with the system, developed in collaboration with Dongfeng and Sinotruk, started volume production in late 2021.

Ma Zheren, founder and CEO of Inceptio, said the startup is updating the system and making breakthroughs in the core technology, including algorithm, hardware and data.

Inceptio also unveiled an outline for a fully driverless system on the event on Thursday, which removes boundaries between different modules to build a deep neural network.

The startup launched a competition with Tsinghua University on the same day, which it said is to explore talents in autonomous driving.
