(video) The Kodiak Driver – Recognizes and Navigates Construction Zone

Construction zones aren’t static highway obstacles that drivers can just avoid. They’re dynamic and sometimes unexpected environments that frequently move and change.

Accounting for these unexpected changes is critical to building a safe autonomous solution. With advanced AI perception models, we’ve designed the Kodiak Driver to react and respond to changing construction zones safely. Paired with a unique system designed to make quick updates and share those updates with the entire fleet, we’re building the Kodiak Driver to be able to handle everything the road throws at it, including tricky construction zones.

Watch below as the Kodiak Driver recognizes a lane closure sign and plans a safe path forward well before it reaches the obstacle and well before other drivers take action.
