(video) Map guided traffic light state detection

You see here a possible application for Atlatec map matching technology. Traffic light positions have been labelled very precisely with Atlatec mapping technology. In subsequent traversal, their position is re-found at pixel precision by map matching. The localization of the traffic lights is accurate enough that we can zoom in on them to perform very simple detection of the state of the traffic light. The camera used is black and white, and has only a resolution of 0.5 mega pixel.
