Driving cars as we know it today may be on the verge of its end. Autonomous driving systems are constantly improving, and thanks to the fact that they are receiving the green light from more and more countries, more and more users can try out their qualities. From next week, Czechs will also be able to join them, as Tesla is starting test drives for ordinary users in our country, in which they will be driven in the passenger seat of an autonomously driven car. And since everything is of course free, practically everyone can enjoy this unique experience, which is really tempting in my opinion. MiniSo, technology fans should not delay their reservations.
“Be among the first to experience Full Self-Driving (Supervised) from the passenger seat. Our team will take you as a passenger in a Full Self-Driving (Supervised) car and show you how the feature works in the real world. Find out how the system handles real-world traffic, taking care of the most stressful part of driving while helping to make roads safer for you and others. Join us and see how we are moving towards a fully autonomous future.“,” Tesla entices on its official website for the Czech Republic, saying that test drives with autonomous pilot will take place in Prague and Brno, specifically from 9 February to 31 March this year. What is also interesting is that you can take up to 3 other people with you and that you can choose the preferred car in which you would like to ride when booking. Of course, there is no guarantee that you will ride in it. 100%, but if the seller is able to make it happen, he will definitely use the car.
Whether autonomous driving will become more widespread in the foreseeable future is, of course, something we can only guess at, because it will depend extremely on how much automakers will charge for it as an optional extra and on which cars this option will be available in terms of price. However, if autonomous driving can be introduced into cheaper cars in the future, then I dare say that it would be an extreme simplification of everyday life. Personally, I cannot imagine using autopilot all the time, but miniAt least on the roads that I drive very often, de facto “on human autopilot”, entrusting the driving to the car itself would definitely make sense for me, whether for the sake of rest or the possibility of working while driving.
