Seeing the Future: How Argo Lidar Changes the Self-Driving Game

Self-driving in cities, suburbs and on highways requires 360 degrees of sensor coverage. Lidar, which stands for “light detection and ranging” is a critical sensor for safe self-driving—particularly at higher speeds. Argo Lidar can see up to 400 meters, identify dark objects with less than one percent of reflectively by detecting a single particle of light, and depict the 3D world in high resolution.
