CaoCao Inc. Expands Robotaxi Fleet to 100 Vehicles in Hangzhou

CaoCao Inc., a Chinese autonomous mobility company under Geely Holding Group, has launched its 100-vehicle Robotaxi fleet in Hangzhou’s Binjiang District as of February 11, 2026.

This milestone is part of its transition to fully driverless operations, with the company currently focusing on shifting from safety-driver-based services to autonomous driving.

The fleet operates with support from CaoCao’s Green Intelligent Mobility Hub, which includes automated battery swapping and other services to enhance efficiency. The company plans to expand service hours, geographic coverage, and implement an intelligent safety platform and asset management system.

CaoCao is also working on developing purpose-built Robotaxis equipped with dedicated autonomous hardware, aiming to deploy 100,000 vehicles by 2030.

The company is forming international partnerships, including a memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi’s Investment Office, where it plans to explore autonomous driving and green mobility technologies.

CaoCao is positioning itself as a one-stop mobility platform through acquisitions, including the 100% purchase of StarRides and full ownership of Geely Travel to serve both individual and enterprise clients.
