This video showcases how WeRide’s driverless test vehicle navigates complex and yet everyday traffic scenarios on urban open roads in Guangzhou, China. Such driverless tests have helped us continuously perfect the AI algorithms required of an experienced driver.
Notably, WeRide has been conducting driverless road test like this from 8am to 10pm everyday, ever since we received the first driverless permit in China from the Guangzhou government in July 2020. With the driverless permit we obtained from the California DMV earlier this month, WeRide is proud to be the first startup in the world holding driverless test permits in both China and the US!
