Predicting the behavior of other road users is an important part of driving safely. Waymo’s cars are designed to anticipate how other cars, cyclists, and pedestrians will behave and then adjust accordingly. Here, a Waymo car approaches two cyclists and a vehicle blocking the bike lane. It correctly predicts that the cyclists will pass the vehicle on the left and slows down to allow them to pass.
