Let’s take a look at what GAIA-1 understands. Does it understand the weather? Or even the time of day? Because we’re familiar with them, it’s easy for us to imagine what it’s like to drive in many different weather conditions. And so can GAIA-1.
GAIA-1 can generate videos showing various weather conditions like rain, or fog, and it can also imagine different times of the day, like sunrise, sunset or even night.
Why is this important? Being able to imagine realistic representations of different environmental conditions, means GAIA-1 can create a more realistic environment to train our AI driving software in. It also shows us that GAIA-1 understands scenario-based conditions, like the weather, and responds with the driving behaviours you would expect. Want to know what else GAIA-1 can do?
