We recognize that motorcyclists are among the most vulnerable vehicles on the road and are committed to taking every possible measure to protect them.
Our autonomous trucks utilize AI-powered, state-of-the-art perception systems that continuously monitor their surroundings. These systems combine cameras, lidar, and radar to identify all nearby vehicles.
When our autonomous trucks detect a motorcyclist in their vicinity, they proactively assess the situation and calculate the safest course of action. If it is safe, the Kodiak Driver will automatically adjust its speed and trajectory to create a safe distance from the motorcyclist. This reduces the risk of collision and ensures that motorcyclists have ample space to maneuver.
