Prominent in discussions of ‘New Mobility’ is the opportunity to significantly enhance safety with innovations that can save lives and prevent injuries and crashes on our roadways. Setting the bar for safety in this new mobility will involve: 1) applying effective safety approaches that currently exist, 2) translating existing approaches to new mobility needs, and 3) creating safety innovations that do not currently exist on our roads today.
